TIME IN DISLINKED: 10 years but he's fresh to the Mnemo
MINI BIO: Hey! Look! It's Fox's big brother! He was actually chipped slightly before his other siblings, was a total mama's boy, and was in Autonomous Corpus until the Architects decided he'd be a super cool sleeper agent. His implant was shitty, though, and he was lucid when he ran into Dislinked and immediately told them what was up. A kill switch was triggered, but because his chip was bad all it did was like, knock him out for a bit and also just completely fucked his memories. So! After becoming functional he joined Dislinked doing mechanical repair and MacGyver style fixes, mostly on really remote outposts. He was tapped for Area Prep because of these skills, and is just arriving on the Mnemo! He has no idea who Fox is 😌 Full dumbass here

IDEAS/LINES:
• Bear loves to cook, and probably brought a few treats from the surface to make some things, if anyone has any favorites/wants to bug him to do something
• He is so easy to boss around, feel free to tell him what to do. Also just very chill and nice and is actually kind of almost as well-adjusted as he seems to be?? Figured some close-to-balanced brain waves could be useful on the ship
• Someone could have known him in his early years in Dislinked (10-8 years ago), when he didn't really know his full name and thus the connection between him and Fox wouldn't be discernible

fox is extremely beloved by sefi, who has been friends with him since they were teenagers. i think she'll also get along with bear pretty well also on her own and can deff have run into him on his first day to show him around/befriend him/etc

taryn was in charge of recruitment at the time he showed up so i do assume they already knew each other to some extent and perhaps specifically requested him for her team (the idea of her being like "find me that weird little guy who fixes things. whatever happened to that guy." is killing me)

Az is absolutely going to befriend him based solely on his ability to cook. He loves to eat, and frequently bemoans the standard mess fare.

of my lot, i think the most obvious potential is nim, who's been associated with dislinked since its inception but only got onto the ship in 7 AI. he also loves to cook (well, ahem -- bake) and fix things, and i can def see him having been loaned out at times to outposts to help (or learn from people there, w/e).

okay SO!! dom was at the AC compound for three years (18–15 years ago) before he extracted fox and disappeared into the night. as discussed: this + dom's access to bear's dossier = he knew bear as a bairn (if ages 13–16 can be described as bairn, which they cannot, but i dIGRESS) and knows who he is, but bear doesn't really remember him. also dom was like deep undercover at that point and i need to come up with his name and cover story at the time even though it doesn't matter. ALSO? HE WILL BE ONBOARDING BEAR? tl;dr he's gonna tread so lightly

Of course I love him. Sloane is obvi also brand new and they can figure this place out perhaps. She will be jealous of his adjustment, of course. She is also Fox's teammate but doesn't know him thaaat that well, so will kind of just spiritually hover around this situation and watch it in case she feels she has to jump in.

I'm gonna try a tactic here: WHAT would bear think of Jax, mav and Irina because he'd be newish to all of them!! Jax was dislinked ~10 years ago so maybe he knows the name Bear as an agent but no face to face until recently

Eli was Fox’s foster brother in Sandy Bay/current brother figure. I’m sure they will have lots of overlap. He’s been dislinked for about 20 years,onboard for 6, so I’m game if we want some connection while he was on the ground! Excited to eee how this plays out.
