CHARACTER: Sloane Lynfield

TIME IN DISLINKED: Literally 15 minutes.
MINI BIO: Sloane lived her full life under the Veil up until about two years ago. She was a helicopter pilot while Veiled, and did some emergency medicine during transport as well, but all the while was sorta looking for her dad, who disappeared right before the Fall in his semi truck. She was exposed to another lost man when her boyfriend (Apollo!) in Jackson, WY disappeared also. She was picked by Dom instead of checking herself into a memory clinic, and upon learning the truth of everything was immediately like, okay, I want to fight, put me in, let's get going. She thinks she could be re-Linked at any moment, and acts like it. While she's a skilled pilot and very eager, she also CLEARLY rushed herself through emotional regulation training and while she's okay to serve, has a lot unprocessed which comes out in impulsivity and mood swings, but also a great deal of enthusiasm.

IDEAS/LINES:
• Anyone who has seen a truck driver or someone who has actually seen her dad. I think she'll probably be asking people about this, and would love her to get some inaccurate leads, but maybe someone actually saw him at some point, years ago. I have no real ideas as to his whereabouts, and am flexible as to his fate!

• Any Veiled Jackson WY or Spokane people? She was different there.

•Because she's fresh fresh brand new in lieu of actual lines I'd like to propose some Meet-rudes (bc they're not cute!) I'm up for any other ideas too and would love to either log or just assume happen sometime in the next few days!:
A) Pilot who in her very first trip to the hangar witnesses her drop her helmet upon seeing Apollo, they try to pick it up to help, Sloane shoves them away.
B) Someone can witness her tearing up when she looks out any window, and maybe they get into a 10 minute long existential conversation about death and meaning that she then just leaves when it gets too overwhelming.
C) Steals someone else's book by accident and when she realizes she has, they will get a very sincere but scrounged together apology care package

I know we've already talked a little bit but I'm V excited, and am hoping for them to have a weird friendship that involves never talking about or acknowledging any feelings whatsoever 🥰

Maryle likes reading so I hope they can bond over that, and as a Dom rescue she'll automatically be a bit nicer!!

ROOMMIEEESSS I'm so excited for it and for Maryle who I LOVE. They should take turns reading something aloud eventually. And as long as she's free to express emotions, they never have to actually talk about them because Sloane wouldn't know what to say anyway. We're still learning the full spread.

And ahhh the pb love I love her in the gorge.

Archie is new as well so they could bond over newness. He is struggling with his emotions a lot since he never had to deal with them without being veiled.

Carl Jacobs is the engineering head cjacobs, and he is nice and friendly. Would look out for her.

HIII and i knowww she's so cute. The Gorge is a good movie I will stand by this.

She would absolutely try to help archie struggle thru emotions even though she is doing the same thing herself. It's rough out there!!!

And will appreciate Carl even if she would plead against needing help or looking out for.

OK I know she is new but I feel like she and Irina will jive. I can offer A for Irina bc she is also pilot, and she is friends with the Outlander kids including Apollo???

Mav/highvolt very much respects a pretty and badass lady, and while she's engineer she's in electrical so less involved with physical ship maintenance. She will oggle (respectfully) because Anya is an elfin princess

Jax/jaxsons has no immediate overlap except literally for the name Jackson and for this, I offer my cheeky southern man

A is perfect for Irina I think. She got a cameo in the reunion log and she didn't even know it. (Sloane will apologize later I'm sure, beginning of a beautiful? friendship.)

Mav also is cuuuute! I think Sloane will like her a lot too, and let her look as much as she wants, that's free.

Jax was a firefighter and while Sloane was not an EMT exactlyexactly she worked with emergency services to drive helicopters enough to respect first responders a lot so I'm sure they will get on too!

As per Casper, Bobby has seen her through stalking. He also didn't believe Apollo when he told him there was no one veiled that he was hoping to unveil but he let it go at the time but he will come back to this

But other than that, he loves reading, they should keep bumping into each other into the library

Hiii so Delilah here is the most relevant! She was in the outlander group with Apollo and co but she was chipped before he was. She is nosy and will def be all 👀 she's relatively new too though and will def try to befriend her!

And then kit / ~andcaboodle has been a pilot for like 8 years. She is welcome to steal his book. He will be friendly and try to help her adjust

hi lyss, this is rae! i have niko (dreamscape), lola (information), and fox (battlest pilot).

› fox is another one of dom's rescues/recruits, relatively new (~1yr), and a fellow pilot! he will be very friendly and will kind of treat sloane like she's ~part of the family~ he's like... a very energetic puppy. feel free to be :| or ? at him.
› lola is in espionage! she is a former outlander who got chipped and is very ? about someone who has spent their entire life under the veil. however, she has also been flirting a lot with apollo, so i am happy for that to result in any awkwardness. >:)
› niko is someone she has probably been seeing a lot of! he's the head of dreamscape & very keen on ensuring no new recruits are actually double agents. he is polite/friendly, but also probably a little inherently mistrusting of someone who has always been under the veil, so she could've picked up on that! outside of Work, he's also a former soap actor who never shuts up about it so she'll see him being a big ol' vain mess on the network sometimes lmao.

Hiya Lyss! Gia here! I have three.

Philip (this guy) is a fellow pilot, captain of Squad 1 (Apollo's squad!). He's very fond of all the pilots, and sometimes this fondness translates into making everyone run drills across the Mnemo in the event of power failure and them having to scramble the planes in the darkness~

Nim (niim) is an engineer in the Science cell who primarily works with the ship/ships, so she'll have plenty of reasons to interact with him. He's a Never Been Chipped and has been with Dislinked since he was about 12.

And Rio (riio) is with Espionage, Supplies division. She's Remy's sister, which means she was also in the Utah outlander city with Apollo. Her feelings on that old gang/time with the outlanders are coloured by the mysterious betrayal that led to her and Remy getting bagged & tagged all those years ago. It's only been a few years since she was unVeiled, so she Gets the moodswings.

Hi, Lyss! I have Luke in Battlest with Sloane. He's also relatively new (about 1.5 years in), but he's in Ground Forces, so I guess he will mostly be looking up at her as she flies overhead... He's very friendly and (futilely) tries to make everybody happy, so he'll be welcoming. I also have Simon, who is in Science so not sure about overlap, but he and Sloane are in similar spots in that they're recently unVeiled, being reunited with Veil-time romantic partners. Not sure if this parallel would be visible to either of them, but he's there for commiseration!
